Global Anti-Scam Alliance, Global Cyber Alliance, and the Anti-Phishing Working Group – Europe, a unique partnership in the fight against cybercrime, joins forces with Cybersec Europe to facilitate knowledge sharing on the subject of online scams and cybersecurity in Europe.

Jorij Abraham (Global Anti-Scam Alliance) will be a keynote speaker and later speak on a panel moderated by Alejandro Fernández-Cernuda (Global Cyber Alliance) on the Main Stage of Cybersec Europe 2023 on the 20th of April in Brussels.

What are you going to tell the audience at Cybersec Europe 2023?

Jorij Abraham (Global Anti Scam Alliance): “We will release the 10 actionable recommendations defined by the 1,300 participants of the last Global Anti Scam Summit to empower consumers and raise awareness about what scams are, create a safer Internet with actionable tools to protect consumers, and improve national and international cooperation. Serious effort needs to be done to protect consumers in Europe and around the world.”

Can you already reveal the key learning from your panel?

Alejandro Fernández-Cernuda (Global Cyber Alliance): “The panel will react on the 10 recommendations from GASA and define concrete and coordinated actions. Tools are not the only answer, they need to be combined with cooperation schemes and human dialogue. Increased collaboration is essential for effectively combating online scams, as only a coordinated and comprehensive approach can address the complex nature of the issue.”

Why shouldn’t visitors miss this keynote and panel?

Zoriana Dmytryshyna (Anti-Phishing Working Group – Europe): “Online scams are a significant and growing problem with serious consequences on individuals and society, including financial losses, identity theft, emotional distress, and wider impacts such as loss of trust in online systems. While it is important to understand the nature of online scams, it is equally important to develop actionable recommendations and strategies for preventing and fighting them. This keynote and panel can provide valuable insights and practical solutions for individuals, businesses, and policymakers.”
